Cancer. The big C. A word that has become all too familiar these days in our world. Most of us know someone that has had it or been impacted by it, survived it or succumbed to it. It's that time of year again -- Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The usual happenings are going on, fromĀ events such asĀ Saks Fifth Avenue's Key to the Cure, pink products being sold with a portion of proceeds going to fight the cause, buildings lit up pink, and the list goes on. Breast cancer (and cancer in general) is an epidemic. Last year at this time, I wrote about my own mom and her fight with this horrible disease.
