Q: I bought a pair of motorcycle boots, but am afraid of looking too much like a biker or like I’m dressing too young. Help – I need suggestions on how to wear them! 

A: First of all, congratulations on your purchase! Motorcycle boots are very on-trend and super comfortable. We wear ours ALL the time from fall into spring. An easy way to style them is with skinny jeans and a silky blouse or a sweater. Motorcycle boots also look great with flirty A-line skirts or skater dresses.

To avoid looking like a biker or overly youthful, be careful about wearing too much leather clothing with the boots. For example, don’t wear a moto jacket AND leather leggings AND motorcycle boots – way too much leather. Instead, consider a moto jacket with leather and tweed that will add a ladylike twist to your look, or a cropped blazer in tweed or a deep jewel tone will add polish. Just say “no” to wearing wide-leg jeans or slacks over the motorcycle boots! This will look silly and defeat the point of wearing these stylish boots.
