Angela’s Lab | Covetable Buys at the NSale!

It’s an annual tradition! I’ve been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale since childhood, being a Seattle native and all. As a teen, I’d scour the look books and make out my back-to-school wish list, then hit the store on opening day. Now, my daughter and I make a day of it every year and go on the first early access day (for Nordstrom cardholders only!) — shop, have lunch, shop, have a snack and repeat. At almost nine years old (when did that happen?!), she loves fashion as much as I do and has a definite opinion about what she likes and will or won’t wear. Her sale picks will be posted shortly!

Fall trends and the NSale are continuing to fuel my obsession with bell sleeves, which are superbly flattering, classy and feminine — perfection! Here are the ones I picked up today on my shopping spree. Which one is your favorite?

Dresses are an easy all-in-one choice that makes shopping your closet in the morning a no-brainer — the key is the fit. I love these two and will no doubt have them on repeat. And this luxe lace top! I will be pairing it with a pencil skirt and pumps, black leggings and over-the-knee boots, and my stand-by denim (see my new, sure-to-become fav pair of FRAME jeans below — the fit is AMAZING).

My everyday, go-to, must-have pieces for fall. I’m already obsessed with the fit of these jeans and am going to order another pair — super flattering and they hold their shape, plus, dare I say they shave off five pounds?! Happy dance.

Designer goods and exclusive items go fast and are often never featured in the catalog or online — your best bet to get a peek at higher-end goods is to befriend and work with a Nordstrom personal shopper. They are amazing, don’t charge a fee and love to help! Remember, sale prices will go UP to the regular fall price for all of these items on August 7! And the best pieces go fast, so if there’s something you really want, don’t wait. Always better to buy and return if you change your mind, than to go back to get something and it’s gone…
