Designer Highlight: SJP for Nordstrom

Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw lived the glamorous life many of us dream of — a successful writer living in New York City and in her spare time she goes out for drinks with girlfriends (and a few boys) in her fabulous clothes and designer shoes. We watched the show for the fashion as much as the storyline. SJP and her alter ego Carrie made so many designer brands household names, from Manolo Blahnik to Jimmy Choo. Since the show ended, SJP has made a few forays into the design arena, but her latest line which includes shoes, handbags and some apparel promises to be her most successful yet. Available exclusively at Nordstrom (online and in select stores), here are a few of our favorite pieces from the collection. We love the scallop detail on this open-toe sandal, and the neutral, but still fun, color.

Emerald green suede is so fresh and springy, but can be worn year-round.

This twist on the Mary Jane pump is named after Princess Diana and utterly chic.

Dubbed the “Carrie,” we love the versatility and panache of this t-strap pump, and it comes in nude, black and purple.
