We are not only impressed with her invention, but also feel inspired to do our own out-of-the-box thinking! Annie – like most of us – struggled in the morning to quickly pull together and accessorize her outfit for work, while juggling getting her son ready for school and heading out the door on time. We all know this feeling…. Enter her creation – Jewelinx! This organizing tool is perfect for helping reach your goal of a more organized closet and morning routine. By spending a few minutes the night before to pull together your accessories (or take 30 minutes on the weekend to plan ahead for the week!), you’ll save valuable time in the morning when things are crazy. Not to mention, this handy-dandy tool is a must-have for peeps in the fashion industry, especially all you stylists and personal shoppers out there. Originally a physician in her native India and medical scientist in the U.S., Annie changed her career path to create and launch Jewelinx. Now, she is completely focused on introducing Jewelinx to all who want to get dressed stress-free every morning by providing innovative tools to live life more efficiently.

This ingenious mom lives in Texas with her husband and 12-year-old son Joel. A creative spirit, in her spare time, Annie loves spending time with friends and family, dancing, listening to music, painting and photography.

MSL: Describe your style in five words or less.
Classic, comfort with elegance, effortless, trendy, easy wear with stretch.

MSL: Tell us more about how you came up with the idea to create Jewelinx. Was there one particular moment where you decided that starting this business was what you were meant to do?
Funny story — I kept running a few minutes behind for work and realized that it was due to wasting time accessorizing my outfits at the last minute. This became frustrating over time and I thought I needed to buy more jewelry organizers. I searched stores looking for something that would work for me. When I couldn’t find something I liked, it led me to create Jewelinx. Now, I feel no stress getting ready and have extra time in the morning to sit down at breakfast with my family. I really never knew that I was going to start a business out of this as I was just creating a solution for my own problem. My friends and family provided valuable feedback that helped me take Jewelinx to a wider demographic. The customer response to Jewelinx has been so amazing, and my business evolved to where it is today.

MSL: What are your short- and long-term goals for the company? Any plans for other products?
My vision is for Jewelinx to be a household product for every home and increase efficiency to improve the quality of women’s lives. In the short term, I want to improve awareness of a never-seen-before, problem-solving patented product and increase our outreach to the demographic who could benefit from Jewelinx. My long-term goal is to grow my small business through newer outlets of social media and online shopping.

MSL: Any tips or tricks you can share about how you balance running a fast-growing business and motherhood?
Balance is probably not the word, juggle is! (LOL) In business, you work around the clock, so I find myself consciously struggling trying to build in time for my family, whether it is taking a vacation or just cooking dinner! I’m still figuring it out, and will hopefully be able to share tips in future.

MSL: Did your style change when you became a mom?
Absolutely. In the first year — no heels, wrinkle-free stretch fabric, minimal jewelry, short hair for the first time in my adult life – all low maintenance styles.

MSL: What’s the one item in your closet you can’t live without, that makes you feel both chic and comfortable?
Jewelinx for sure!!! It helps me to emerge looking chic and accessorized with ease and confidence comfortably. I highly recommend it!

MSL: Whose style do you most admire and draw inspiration from?
Honestly, too many to list, but what I enjoy the most these days is the various cultural influences on clothing designs and evolving trends in fashion. Design inspirations from Hollywood to Bollywood styles and top it with accessories inspired from different cultures around the world with their unique stories of origin.

MSL: What’s your best style advice for other moms out there?
Moms, do your best within your life circumstances and give up any feelings of guilt regarding your imperfections or any sense of inadequacy. I’m still working at it too!
