Trend Watch: Fancy Feathers
Feathers are fancy and glamorous, there’s no doubt. Wearing them with our everyday denim feels special and decadent… and why not? The whole idea of “save your dressy clothes” for a special occasion has gone the way of our grandmothers. Live for today, we say, and wear all the feathers and fancy things! And, of course, feathers are always a date night win. We found some great pieces festooned with feathers, and here’s how we styled them.
We’re loving the ultra-glam jacket pictured above from Saks Fifth Avenue with our favorite denim and over-the-knee boots OR our go-to LBD! It’s so versatile and extra special. We also love this more affordable option by Rebecca Minkoff.
Look 1 | This easy mix of separates works for casual Fridays at the office, or roll your sleeves up for the weekend. The feathered earrings add a splash of color and personal flair.
Earrings, Kendra Scott // Blazer, Treasure & Bond // Tee, Caslon // Jeans, Madewell // Shoes, Gucci (all from Nordstrom)
Look 2 | Feathers give a white, button down shirt new life and, when paired with pinstriped trousers, they go to the office or even out for date night.

Look 3 | This va-va-va-voom dress screams Old Hollywood glamour, and naturally, we accessorized with all things sparkly. Wear for date night, a holiday soiree or a black-tie event.
