Angela’s Lab | Happily Ever After

kassie wedding kissWeddings are magical. The blushing bride in her beautiful gown. The handsome groom that can’t take his eyes off his love. Okay, yes, I am a romantic at heart. I love weddings and the whole idea of happily ever after.

I had the pleasure of attending my high school BFF’s daughter’s wedding reception this past weekend and this darling couple was the epitome of young love in action. You could feel the excitement in the room anticipating their new life together as a couple and what lies ahead. Of course, there will be hard times mixed with the good, but as they overcome challenges as a couple, they will grow and strengthen their relationship. Intermixed will be memories of priceless moments and good times spent as a couple and with their family.

I hadn’t been to a wedding in awhile so it raised a flurry of emotions in me about how short life is and how I feel so lucky to have a wonderful man in my husband. I know that not everyone finds their soulmate, so I feel blessed to have found mine. Having been married for 15 years now I can say that unequivocally. And I wish the same for my daughter as it does make life that much more special.

In the spirit of fashion, what did I wear to the wedding? Well, you can’t EVER go wrong with a LBD. And if you’re my daughter, you can’t miss with a mermaid-inspired dress, since she likes to channel Ariel and other Disney princesses wherever she goes.
