Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Neiman Marcus "Let's Talk Fall" preview media breakfast and saw firsthand what fashion guru Ken Downing has tagged as the looks of the season. After chatting with fellow members of the fashion press, we were treated to a fashion show of lustworthy looks. On Ken's trend list for the season: Gray, Greens, Global Chic, Knit Dressing, Trousers, the Clutch, the Year-Round Bootie, and Statement Necklaces. I've never been a person that wears prints. I tend to stick with solids -- jewel tones like teal, cobalt and fuchsia, bright reds and corals, and the always easy neutrals to throw on and they look sophisticated -- black, navy, camel, white and grey. Solids are generally more flattering, plus easier to wear and style for sure. However, a few years ago I challenged myself with incorporating more prints into my closet. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you are fully aware that Frozen is the Disney movie of the decade. If you are like me and have a young daughter, you may have indulged her Queen Elsa and Princess Anna obsession with a plethora of Frozen toys and costumes, and listen to the CD in the car as you run around town.
