Angela’s Lab | Falling for Floral
I’ve never been a person that wears prints. I tend to stick with solids — jewel tones like teal, cobalt and fuchsia, bright reds and corals, and the always easy neutrals to throw on and they look sophisticated — black, navy, camel, white and grey. Solids are generally more flattering, plus easier to wear and style for sure. However, a few years ago I challenged myself with incorporating more prints into my closet. Let’s face it, prints make fashion more interesting. One of my favorite print looks for fall is the “dark florals.” Dark florals are chic, stylish and not an “in-your-face” print. I love how the dress I’m wearing in these pictures has depth, richness and a hand-painted feel. As we transition into cooler weather I’m wearing it with my nude pumps to lighten things up and elongate my legs. Later, I’ll be styling the look with my luxe chocolate brown suede booties or tall boots — and a cobalt handbag for a pop of color.
