At Work | Chic Looks for Casual Friday
“Casual Friday” is a commonplace occurrence in the workplace these days, generally a move by management to make work “more fun” for employees. Casual Friday is not meant to be, however, a fashion free-for-all when employees wear whatever they want, from halter tops and shorts to sweats and destructed (aka ripped) denim. Just because something is on-trend doesn’t meant it’s work-appropriate, after all it is still work and you will be judged on your appearance by your boss and co-workers alike. That said, you can get away with different levels of “casual” depending on your workplace. If you work in a conservative environment, don’t try to push the fashion envelope. Just remember, the best rule of thumb is still to “dress for the job you want, not the job you have” and we need to remember this on Casual Friday too. Now we know that, as an MSL reader, you already dress fashionably, so we are here to give you some new inspiration about chic, professional ways to dress for Casual Friday. TGIF!
