Derby Day Look Inspiration

Held on the first Saturday in May since 1946, Derby Day is a fun-filled celebration of horse racing, fancy hats, fashion and fundraising! Derby & Diamonds is one of the most popular parties in Arizona and raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Arizona, a cause close to our hearts. Our dear friend Lisa Moore and LLS Visionary of the Year candidate is collaborating with Derby & Diamonds to stage the biggest show in the event’s six-year history on Saturday, May 6th. Tarbell’s (one of our all-time fav restaurants in Phoenix) is catering, The MacDaddy Os band is playing, Catherine Anaya is emceeing, and there will be prizes for best-dressed, so dress to impress! I styled this Chanel-inspired look from items already in my closet. Feminine details, loads of pearls and black & white all channel our favorite designer. To create the hat, I used a black sunhat and stitched on a large white flower I found at Michael’s. Voila!
