These Cute Pajamas Help Homeless Kids
These are more than just a cute pair of pajamas.
When designer and founder of Heart of Joy PJs Desiree Jones learned that over 2 million children are faced with a period of homelessness in their lifetime, including one of her childhood friends, she decided to take action. In addition to volunteering her time at shelters, Desiree was determined to help by raising money to donate to local organizations that help fight child homelessness. And, Heart of Joy PJs was born. For every pair of pajamas sold, she donates $5 to local homeless shelters — a significant 25% of sales.
There are different styles and colors of pajamas available from size 2T to size 10, as well as onesies for babies from newborn to 18 months. The hearts on the pajamas glow in the dark (great for kids who are afraid of the dark!) and are made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex to stretch with movement and not lose their shape. Christina gave them a thumbs up for cuteness and comfort. A great gift idea for the kid who has everything — they can always use a new pair of PJs, especially ones that are helping other kids! Be sure and include a note about why their gift is extra special.
Desiree’s goal is to expand the Heart of Joy movement nationwide and one day internationally. We love it!
