Short Stories for Spring
Shorts are in the mood for dress-up this spring, from elegant lace and silk fabrications to pleated and high-waisted cuts, the wind is distinctly blowing in a girly direction. The trend exception is denim shorts, which are distressed and rough around the edges, but with their own sex appeal. Short shorts are also #trending, but for those of you who prefer a little length, culotte and denim options both come in long versions.
Lovely Lace. The chic femininity of lace translated from our favorite cocktail dress to our now go-to dressy shorts.
Dolce & Gabbana // Alice + Olivia
Tiered Shorts. Even shorts take on the ever-popular layered look with prints and filmy chiffons.
Whitney Eve // Jean Paul Gaultier
Silk Shorts. Last year it was the silky pant, this spring is all about the silky short. We love them with a structured jacket.
Perfectly Pleated. Pleats give baggier shapes a more tailored look and work particularly well for curvy girls with a small waist.
Tory Burch // 3.1. Phillip Lim
High-Waisted. Retro flair with a modern twist, this style highlights a small waist like no other.
Rag & Bone // Dondup
Cool Culottes. Choose from short or below-the-knee styles in this ultra-feminine style of shorts.
Daily Denim. “Daisy Dukes,” distressed, and boyfriend jean shorts are all the rage this season.
Vince // Rag & Bone
