Trend Watch: All Hail, Brocade!

The trappings of royalty, brocade exudes glamour and luxury fit for a queen, or a duchess as our beloved style icon Princess Kate has shown us by wearing her blue brocade jacket on a number of different occasions. While we think of it as a dressy fabric, brocade can definitely be worn for day or night. Like so many other fabrics that once were reserved for nighttime only (think sequins and velvet), that old school thinking is long behind us. A mix of brocade and denim for instance is fresh and of the moment. Here’s the modern way to wear brocade.
