Angela’s Lab | Top 5 Spring Beauty Trends + Gift Time!

Spring is right around the corner (even though the weather may not be cooperating everywhere…) and one of the items at the top of my personal to-do list is to axe the darker lips and shimmery eyes I loved for fall and brighten up my face for spring. Make-up is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to freshen up your look. 1 | Coral Kisser

Coral is red’s easier-to-wear and apply, ultra-flattering, spring cousin. We love this shade of “True Coral” by Tom Ford. Note that the experts are saying your lipstick should be slightly diffused after you apply it vs. sharply and perfectly lined.

2 | Cat Eyes

This classic graphic look for the eyes is super sexy and sophisticated. We love Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner applied with a fine-line brush — it makes it easy to create the perfect cat eye. We promise. When your eyes make a strong statement like this, keep your lips more neutral.

3 | Bright Eyes

Our love of the ’80s makes us excited to see all the bright blue and green eye liners back, after all, they make the whites of your eyes look brighter. Oh, and check out these pastel adhesive eyeliner stickers by Dior! No smudging!

4 | Natural Nudes

The fresh face is on point this season — making for an easier, less time-consuming transition from wake-up to out the door. Color-correcting creams, concealer (we swear by Benefit’s Erase Paste!) and neutral eyeshadows are an easy path to a more polished look and, remember, less is more when it comes to make-up application and younger-looking skin.

5 | Modern Matte

Nude nails are haute and chic in matte finishes. Beware of shiny top coats as they will of course create the opposite effect. Your nails should look natural but polished, just the way we like them and so easy to maintain!
