Our Golden Globes Best-Dressed List

Red carpet season is definitely not the same during this crazy pandemic, but we are still ALL IN on seeing the stars dressed in the latest couture! Fashion is a bright spot, something frivolous and fantasy-driven that we can discuss and enjoy. It takes our mind off all of the seriousness and concerning news happening around us right now… even if only for a few minutes. The night of the awards show (albeit virtual) I posted my virtual red-carpet favorites on Instagram Stories and one of my friends commented that she doesn’t watch the show any more, but loves seeing my best-dressed picks to keep up with the fashion. (Same, same! I don’t even know half of the shows that are winning awards anymore. #momlife) So, I decided a more lasting blog post was still in order and enjoyed by many of you. The red carpet trends also give us a peek at some of the spring trends, and I also commented below on how my favorite looks translate to the “reality” we’ll be seeing in everyday spring looks. That said, here is my Golden Globes Best-Dressed List for 2021. Comment below on YOUR favorite of the night!

Amanda Siegfried in Oscar de la Renta

This former Mean Girl looks so beautiful and feminine! She’s giving us all the spring vibes.
Red Carpet to Reality Translation: Watch for the color coral and pretty floral embellishments.

Jane Levy in Oscar de la Renta

The lace, the bows and the wind in her hair! So sweet and classically elegant at the same time.
Red Carpet to Reality Translation: Watch for eyelet lace and figure-hugging shapes.

Kaley Cuoco in Oscar de la Renta

The best princess look of the night! Nothing’s going to dull her sparkle.
Red Carpet to Reality Translation: Watch for silver and sheer fabrics.

Regina King in Louis Vuitton

This dress says “I’m powerful, feminine and own the room.” If I had to choose a gown to wear on the red carpet myself, this would be the one.
Red Carpet to Reality Translation: Watch for silver and asymmetrical shoulder cutouts.

Nicole Kidman in Louis Vuitton

As always, she and her dress choice are regal, classy and tres chic! The hair and details are perfection — plus how figure-flattering are the long lines of the chains?!
Red Carpet to Reality Translation: Watch for gold and chain details.

Lily Collins in Saint Laurent

Raise your hand if you’ve been obsessed with her style since the show Emily in Paris debuted?? Yes, YES!! Her stunning gown and thoughtful details, from jewelry to hair and makeup, are goals.
Red Carpet to Reality Translation: Watch for cutouts, gold embellishments, and embroidery.
The full look is glam-80s, yet elegant, with a bit of a boho vibe.
And, her makeup is perfection. We may need to try and recreate this. Love!
