Surfer Chic: Ride the Wave!

Surfer Girl style has hit the fashion mainstream in the last few years and designers are picking up on the fact that a lot of women want a little extra coverage when on the beach or in the water. So many more options to choose from just since last summer! There are multiple reasons we want coverage including:

  • Less sun exposure to avoid sunburns and aging any faster than we already are.
  • As moms, we want to be able to play in the surf and sand with our kids and not have to worry about showing too much or having a wardrobe malfunction. Also, role modeling sun protection in front of your kids helps them embrace wearing their swimshirts.
  • We never got around to losing that weight we wanted to before summer.
  • Rash guards and surf shorts are so practical for water sports and activities! Did you ever get hit by an ocean wave and lose your top? It happens ALL the time.

And in case you need another reason, surfer girls are hot. Look at model Alessandra Ambrosio and Cameron Diaz. celebrity surfers_0 Plus, we think it’s sexier when ladies don’t let it all hang out and leave a little to the imagination. Here are a few of our fav Surfer Girl looks – no surfing required.
